We redesigned the pathology suite of Philips

The Philips Digital Pathologist App is designed to come to an informed decision quickly and safely. It provides easy access to information and tools to get you there:. We have applied the lessons we have learned from our years in pathology and designed three simple steps: An overview of their caseload, insight into their case details, and a feature rich viewer.

As a design partner we monitor the quality of the deliverables and also coach other UX Designers substantively. A substantial part of the project was to make the UX discipline mature within the organisation and the development methodology Scrum. To achieve this we had contact with different roles and layers within the organisation.

Activities included the preparation of UX guidelines, designing interaction / visual designs and supervising front-end developers. We also created a new Design System. This Design system is updated daily.

UX-designers and developers rely heavily on it for development and designing existing and new products. We also facilitated & contributed various Google Design Sprints.

Designing a new digital workspace for the pathologist

We designed role-based, user-specific case lists along with related patient data and notes. Unique algorithms for improved workflow include automatic image alignment, tissue detection, and tissue presentation. Single-click navigation and shortcut keys speed the process.
